The Swift Group reports that it has recorded record sales of £12million for its touring caravan and motorhome brands at the recent Earls Court Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show.
Despite reduced attendance at this year’s show, says the firm, its sales figures showed a 24% increase on the 1999 show, which was held at the same time of the year.
Swift says this boom is due to a strong product development programme, three new ranges of motorhomes, and focus on developing top quality products using its modern, computerised manufacturing process.
The group’s new Ace brand was unveiled at the show and received a terrific response from both press and public alike, says the firm. With a choice of 10 new tourer models and four motorhomes, the new Ace models have been designed and manufactured with a quality of build and individual style that has become the trademark of the parent company, it says.
Tony Hailey, managing director of the Swift Group, comments: “This exhibition was the launch pad for the new Ace brand, and if future sales can be judged on its popularity here, Ace is going to be extremely successful.
“We are delighted with our overall sales figures for this year’s Earls Court show. They have exceeded all expectations and are a record for the group. We appear to have not only maintained strong brand loyalty with existing customers, but have also seen a high number of people purchasing our brands for the first time, which is a strong indication that both touring caravans and motorhome owners believe we have yet again the strongest product range on the market for 2002.”
