The Swift Group’s stylish and award-winning low profile motorhomes offer even greater choice for 2008 with the addition of a new compact model in each of the Swift, Ace and Bessacarr ranges taking each line-up to five layouts.
All four new ranges will be launched at the International Caravan & Motorhome Show 2007 at the NEC from October 16-21.
Steve Trossell, Swift Group Product Director, said: “Sales during the last year of Swift Bolero, Bessacarr E500 and Ace Airstream have exceeded all expectations with their winning combination of style, specification and price. As part of our growth plan for motorhomes we are now extending this formula to compact low profiles under 6m in length – a sector of the market which we see expanding.”
The new Swift Bolero 600EK Compact, Bessacarr E510 Compact and Ace Airstream 600EK Compact layout combines parallel lounge seating that converts into a double bed with an end kitchen and washroom. Swivelling driver and passenger seats maximise the lounge and sleeping space.
Offering style, comfort and safety thanks to the Fiat X2/50 Special low-line chassis cab, the new compact models are 5.9m long with an overall width of 2.26m and height of 2.79m.
These dimensions ensure the compact models are aerodynamic as well as stylish while an optional separate styled roof-rack and ladder can be added if required.
They are designed for couples who want to combine high specification and living comfort with easy driving and manoeuvrability, with prices starting at £34,745 on the road.
In addition to easier manoeuvrability and parking, the benefits of a two-berth compact include more economical motoring and lower ferry costs.
These latest additions to the Swift Group’s low profile line-up means that the award-winning Swift Bolero (which last year won MMM’s Motorhome of the Year and Low Profile Motorhome of the Year awards) is now available in a modern, compact version that is great-looking inside and out.
The renowned luxury of Bessacarr is continued in the new compact layout with a host of high specification features including cab sunroof, Heki sunroof, spacious washroom, light oak furniture and contemporary soft furnishings.
And the genuinely low profile, compact Ace successfully combines high specification with a fresh, modern Scandinavian feel.
The standard 100 MultiJet engine or 130 MultiJet with cab air-conditioning (optional in compact models) mean that these low profile ranges offer class-leading performance and economy with low noise levels.
Upgrades in mainstream Low Profile models
The four larger models in the Ace Airstream, Bessacarr E500 and Swift Bolero ranges now offer a new option, available from February 2008, of a 160 MultiJet engine with Comfort-Matic automatic gearbox and cab air-conditioning
The comfortable, high specification cab also features remote central locking entrance doors, double-glazed cab sun roof with adjustable blind, pleated windscreen and cab side window blinds and swivelling, fully adjustable driver and passenger seats.
A wide range of new key features across all models in these three ranges includes a Blaupunkt radio/CD/MP3 player with i-Pod/MP3 connection, pleated blinds with flyscreens in accommodation areas, ‘Ultra Comfort’ domestic standard mattresses on fixed beds, dual fuel Truma combi-boiler with en-route operation and a Fiat ‘Fix-and-Go’ puncture repair kit.
Other key interior highlights include a 104-litre, 112 litre or a 150-litre Smart Energy Selection fridge/freezer (model specific) and heavy duty chassis extensions ready for an optional homologated towbar.
A high value option pack includes a roll-out awning, colour reversing camera with infra-red night vision and sound in addition to a new Blaupunkt TravelPilot Lucca 5.2 portable navigation and entertainment unit and a new 15” colour TV with Freeview and analogue tuner, DVD/CD player and DVB radio.
