Direct input from a wide range of customers has helped influence the new styles and features that have been built into the all new Swift Charisma, Abbey Vogue 2, Ace Jubilee and Sterling Europa ranges that start arriving at dealers from early June.
“Feedback from customer comments, dialogue on various internet Forums and detailed research into owners needs have played a big part in deciding the list of new features that have been designed into the new ranges which have been created to give people what they have asked for in a mid price range tourer,” Nick Page, Swift Group Commercial Director commented.
The list of new features in response to customer feedback include high security locks on the entrance door, increased tyre ratings and shock absorbers giving safer more stable towing at speed, fully lined showers in all models and 35mm thick washroom doors with domestic quality locks and handles.
On a more practical front, all products now have three strategically placed mains sockets and two TV points with a new point near the front or rear chest. All ranges now get a higher standard specification as well as new contemporary interiors and new look exteriors.
The Europa offers a completely new bodyshell while the Charisma, Vogue and Jubilee get a moulded, full height rear panel to compliment the one piece, thick gauge, high gloss, aluminium sidewalls and alloy wheels. New graphics enhance exteriors of the Charisma, Europa and the Jubilee ranges. All models now have a 13 pin 12V plug to comply with European standards.
All models across the ranges are 2.29m (7’6”) or 2.23m (7’4”) wide with a class leading 1.95m (6’5”) headroom. Interiors get new soft furnishings, redesigned front lockers with recessed mains lights, gas struts on front locker doors and new clear mini Hekis in the living/ bedroom areas for additional natural light. Beech slat seat bases with sprung hinged tops remain a competitive advantage.
End washroom models get a walk-in shower with separate drying area similar to the group’s higher price ranges whilst all models get the new Thetford toilet with electric flush and wheeled holding tank. A high capacity in-board water pump provides for class-leading water pressure through the shower and chrome finished brass taps.
Improved kitchens come with new thick edged lightweight tables and worktops with matching edges and now feature a built in microwave and 107 litre digital controlled electronic ignition fridge as standard. Also added to the list of standard equipment are an electronic ignition heater and radio/ CD/MP3 player with iPod connection.
All ranges have single and twin axle layouts with 9 models in the Vogue, Europa and Jubilee ranges and 10 layouts in the Charisma range, which features a new 2-berth Charisma 220 model with end- kitchen.
The Charisma 560, Vogue 520, Europa 520 and Jubilee Globetrotter layout has increased in length to allow for more storage and a larger kitchen.
