The smooth flowing curves of the Cameo’s exterior are aerodynamic and contemporary thanks to the closed mould technology used to manufacture the body panels for these top of the market models.
New features to make the Cameo even more appealing include a larger 107-litre fridge with a curved door and digital controls, and in the 625GL, a 147-litre curved door fridge incorporating a 25-litre freezer.
In 2006 all models come with the latest combined DVD/CD/MP3 player and radio. Some models get two stations for TVs, with a DVD connection socket at one station.
With other luxuries like reclining front seats and electrically operated panoramic rooflights, it’s easy to see why this modern, sophisticated tourer is in a class of its own.

The brand new 645GL twin-axle model with a separate bedroom featuring a permanent centre bed enhances the quality of layout choice in this outstanding five-model range for 2006.
Like the other four models in the Cameo range, the 645GL has subtle and tasteful silver and green graphics which add a splash of colour to the glacier white exterior. The front panel with its smooth flowing, rounded lines, features classy stainless steel grab handles while the distinctive rear panel incorporates a full-width grab handle and stylish individual lights.
Other key exterior features are shock absorbers for a smoother ride and to hold the road better, and a Status 530 directional aerial, which can be positioned for an optimum signal for each location.
The one-piece entrance door with opening window is stylish and practical because it lets in extra light and offers easy ventilation with flyscreen protection.
All models feature a BBQ point, external 230V mains socket and an outside light on both sides. There is an AKS 3004 stabiliser, to help prevent “snaking” and an AL-KO “Euro” hitch with two-way assisted handbrake. New AL-KO Secure portable wheel locks prevent unauthorised movement and an AL-KO side-mountable jack attaches to the chassis to lift the wheels clear of the ground if required.
Side direction indicator repeater lights alert other vehicles alongside twin-axle models and the wet locker is ideal for wet or muddy items. Heavy duty corner steadies which are lockable at the rear come as standard. Stylish blinds incorporated in framed windows on the sides and rear and electrically operated panoramic rooflight(s) are easy to operate.
Inside, the Cameo easily lives up to expectations with its impressive specification and luxurious style. 2006 sees the addition of a new 107-litre fridge with curved door, salad drawer and full-width freezer compartment. The 625GL comes with a 147-litre curved door fridge/freezer. Both fridges have a digital display and controls.
There is also a built-in microwave, Dometic kitchen extractor fan, Stoves cooker, chopping board and removable drainer. A modern stainless steel kitchen rail with hooks and condiment set come as standard and in some models there is a matching kitchen roll holder.

Twin-axle models benefit from Alde radiator central heating and hot water system with a programmable timer/thermostat while single-axle models have a dual fuel gas and 800W mains electric storage water heater and a dual fuel 3kW gas and 2kW mains electric space heater complete with ducted blown air distribution.
There is a choice of three luxurious soft furnishing schemes in cream leather, Rivoli green and Belmodo gold, which all complement the richly polished Cherry Wave furniture. Front seats, which can be inclined at the head end, make the interior extremely relaxing and comfortable and there are high specification aircraft-style upper lockers with ash frame doors and positive locking.
